Events Golden Record

Unify fragmented interactions into a single, reliable event history—regardless of how many systems your supporters use.

📅 Event Golden Record (Interaction Resolution)

While the Profile Golden Record unifies who someone is, the Event Golden Record unifies what they did — across systems.

For example, if a supporter purchases tickets from multiple ticketing platforms, you might see:

  • ticket_purchase_event_ticketmaster

  • ticket_purchase_event_eventim

With Event Golden Records, the CDP can merge these into a standardized, single event type like ticket_purchase_combined.

Why Event Merging Matters:

  • Standardizes interactions across systems

  • Enables consistent segmentation, reporting, and automations

  • Reduces complexity in audience targeting

  • Futureproofs your event data model as your tools evolve

How It Works:

  1. You define source event types to merge (e.g., multiple ticket systems)

  2. The CDP combines these into a new, synthetic event

  3. Optionally, transform or unify event properties (e.g., normalize seat categories, currency)

  4. The merged event appears in the user’s event timeline as a clean, unified action
