Event Calendar

Maximize Matchday Impact with Calendar-Based Campaigns

Benefits

The Event Calendar allows clubs and organizations to plan, track, and optimize marketing activities in sync with their actual sporting events. It bridges the gap between operational calendars (fixtures, results) and marketing execution (campaigns), enabling better planning and sharper engagement.

Description

The Event Calendar is a visual, interactive calendar found within the CDP interface. It blends two key data types:

  • Sporting Events: Fixtures and results from an out-of-box data source provided by Data Talks (e.g., match start times, opponents, final scores)

  • Marketing Campaigns: All sent and scheduled campaigns across channels (email, SMS, Viber, WhatsApp)

Each day displays a timeline of activities:

  • Matches and results appear with team logos, opponent names, and scores

  • Marketing campaigns show their names and channels, color-coded for clarity

You can click on any item to reveal:

  • Campaign performance (open rates, click rates, delivery status)

  • Business labels used

  • Target audience summary

  • Template preview

  • Any linked sporting event (if applicable)

Opportunities

The Event Calendar is not just a display tool—it’s a campaign launchpad and performance dashboard. Use it to:

  • Plan smarter campaigns aligned with high-attention moments like derby games or playoffs

  • Avoid campaign clutter by spacing out your communications visually

  • Identify missed opportunities by spotting matches with no corresponding campaigns

  • Balance channels: Track how many email vs. SMS vs. WhatsApp sends you do over a given period

  • Create right-time content by using real-time results to inform reactive or celebratory messages

✍️ Example: A post-match victory campaign can be triggered right after a win is recorded in the calendar
